Meet the team
Rick White
Health and Fitness Manager
Rick is the Health & Fitness Manager who looks after the gym, personal trainers, all group fitness, and our membership base. He’s focused, energetic, disciplined in his training sessions and always keen to try new ideas. An ex-NZ Navy officer and trainer who is up for any challenge. Rick is passionate about developing our staff education and is always available to answer questions and receive feedback about your exercising environment or team.

Jo hawker
Exercise Consultant & Personal Trainer
Jo has been a stable within the Stadium for many years now. A fun, methodical, and passionate trainer who also teaches a very popular HIIT class on Tuesday nights (6pm). Her hobbies include climbing mountains weekly, house renovations, posting funny workout videos online. You’ll most likely hear Jo laughing in the gym because she loves to tell you good stories.


Nadine VR
Exercise Consultant
Meet Nadine, she not only works as an exercise consultant in the gym but she also takes Going for Gold group fitness classes.. She’s passionate about people, well-being and moving more freely.
In her spare time: parenting teens, being creative, crochet, cooking, travelling, playing her euphonium, watching quality tv(8+ on IMDB), walking and just anything fitness related. Give her a wave or ask a question next time you see her, in the gym 1-4pm on Thursdays.

Nir har-paz
Exercise Consultant & Personal Trainer
Our Israeli superstar is back. Nir has completed his overseas holiday home and has returned with even more passion for fitness. He loves the concept of movement and specialises in almost everything.
Nir is our lead for our Mens ProstFit class on Wednesdays, he teaches our Circuit class and you’ll find him first thing in the morning coaching Bootcamp. An intelligent, fun and creative trainer who is a great Dad to his daughter. Nir has a lot of experience mentoring with the Outward Bound programme and also has skills in workgroup facilitation / teambuilding.
Tania horton
Exercise Consultant & Personal Trainer
Tania has returned from her Bee Keeping apprenticeship to realise that she missed coaching you. Our pocket rocket with boundless energy and great ideas. Also a world class group fitness instructor teaching Aqua Aerobics, Live Stronger (our Women’s Cancer specific class). Tania has un-matched knowledge and passion about movement in the water. That said, she is empathetic, kind but a tough personal trainer who knows how to improve both your strength and mobility in both water and on land. A mother of three teenagers, an inspiration and ready to be your trainer.

Liam mcarthur
Personal Trainer
Meet Liam, personal trainer to the stars. Liam is one of our self employed / employed personal trainers who know how to get you great results. He’s passionate, creative and will push you towards your fitness goals fast. Liam is your supplement guru and would love to answer any questions you may have.
He has a crazy obsession with plants, and in his spare time uses Jetski’s to get his adrenaline fix. You will see Liam mostly in the afternoon / nights so be sure to hell out a hello, he loves to banter during any PT session.


Georgie Johnson
Exercise Consultant & Personal Trainer
Here comes Georgie… all the way from Picton. Georgie is the newest member to our team and brings with her a mountain of enthusiasm and drive. She currently works in our Health & Fitness Centre writing programmes for our new and existing members. Georgie has completed her Personal Training certificate and eager to take on new clients now. In her spare time, loves horses, her personal fitness and hanging out with her close family.


Miranda Binsted-pickering
Apprentice
Miranda is well into her apprenticeship as a Multi-Skilled Exercise Professional Level 4 certificate. A very confident and happy member of the reception team, Miranda is flying through her theory and practical assessments. She recently completed a 1000 burpee challenge, and could still walk afterwards, just. This apprenticeship involves three ‘modules’. Freestyle Group Fitness Level 4 Certificate, Exercise Professional Level 4 Certificate, and a module in Small Group Training. Miranda chose Spin as her group fitness elective, but has also taken on Wednesday night Circuit class.

Apprentice
Noah is currently completing his Personal Trainer Level 4 Certificate with Skills Active. He has been a team member at the Stadium for almost 2 years now .
Noah frequents the gym with his own personal workouts, and is gaining as much knowledge as he can from studies and work experience. He is a keen skateboarder, loves his dogs, and will one make a great personal trainer. His apprenticeship is 2 years, and involves book work, workplace experience and attestation, self devised research and a tonne of practical assessments.



Astra Solly
Apprentice
You may recognise Astra from multiple departments in the Stadium and that’s because she is one of our amazing Flexi-Role team members. This includes; Reception, lifeguarding and programmes. While she is working, Astra is also studying the New Zealand Multi-Skilled Apprenticeship which involves, Group Fitness, Personal Training and Small Group Training. Her elective or chosen specialty is core conditioning which echoes her passion for coaching gymnastics and callisthenics.
James Gardiner
Apprentice
James is one of our very capable high flying apprentices sprinting his way through studies. He is well versed in programming, exercise technique and has a passion for strength training. You may recognise him from other areas of Stadium 2000 including lifeguarding where he has previously been working full time. His new focus is on his personal training business and gaining new clients. Young, fit and full of information ready to train you.
